The brief

A big adventure. A small goodnight.

Create a short nightwear film that brings BigLilPeople’s “little moments. big joy.” to life through a child’s imagination.

I built the story around a simple discovery: a boy explores a magical world, meets a baby dragon, and shares a moment of laughter. Back in his bedroom, the dragon is a plush toy tucked into his arms. His mother switches off the lamp. The adventure ends with the familiar comfort of bedtime.

The same checked nightwear connects both worlds, keeping the product present throughout the story.

What changed in the edit.

What did not work the first time, and what I changed.

  1. Note 01

Giving the dream a softer landing

    What broke

The move from the fantasy world to the bedroom felt abrupt. Early bedroom generations also stayed too bright, weakening the feeling of night and the final lights-out moment.

    What I changed

I refined the dissolve, gave the sleeping close-up room to settle, and made the bedside lamp switch the final action before the logo. One continuous music track carries the film from playful discovery into a quieter ending.

  2. Note 02

    Keeping the child believable

    What broke

Early generations made the boy’s skin look too smooth. Against the fantasy environment, he began to feel like another animated character.

    What I changed

I tightened the visual direction around natural skin texture, restrained expressions, and consistent nightwear details. The world could be fantastical; the child’s reactions needed to feel familiar.
